Pro tip - inspect your ammo

Be sure to thoroughly inspect your defensive ammo for deformation before putting it into use. You're already taking the responsibility to provide your own personal protection. Why wouldn't you take it one step further and take the responsibility to quality control check your ammo? It's simple and fairly quick to accomplish. Just look at the primers, casings (from lip to rim), and bullets for anything that appears out of the ordinary. Also inspect the overall length. A bullet that is compressed too deep in the casing will cause the pressures to become dangerously high. I attached some pics of deformed cartridges to give you an idea of what you might find.

On another note, you may want to do the same for ammo that you use in major competitions or tests. If you're taking the time to play, I'm sure you want to win, or at least, do your very best.

Please post any pics you have of flawed ammo.

Take care,

Wes
